Study Navigator support
Troubleshoot ChatGPT concept mapping, shared resource routes, personal UWorld or Anki handoffs, account connections, and privacy requests without exposing private study content.

Contact MediPrep
Email levi.solomon@einsteinmed.edu. This is the developer-approved public support channel for Study Navigator and should match the contact shown in the ChatGPT and Chrome Web Store listings. The email domain identifies the developer's contact address; it does not imply institutional sponsorship, endorsement, access, or reporting.
Include the product surface you were using, the displayed version, your timezone, the approximate time of the problem, the exact body-free error code or message, and the step that failed. A controlled concept key or a general medical topic such as “auditory disorders” is useful. A lecture filename, slide screenshot, copied UWorld question, private URL, Anki card body, credential, or answer history is not needed.
ChatGPT app does not appear or connect
- Open the Study Navigator app details in ChatGPT and confirm it is connected to the intended ChatGPT workspace.
- If an older MediPrep name or icon appears, use the app details refresh or disconnect/reconnect control, then start a new chat.
- Ask “What can MediPrep Study Navigator do?” to verify the capability catalog before testing an attachment.
- If authentication opens, sign in with the intended MediPrep account and return to the same ChatGPT workspace.
- If the app still does not appear, send support the ChatGPT plan/workspace type and the visible error text. Do not send cookies, tokens, or a chat export.
A lecture did not map to the expected concept
- Ask ChatGPT to list the short institution-neutral medical topics it found before requesting routes.
- Remove course codes, professor names, filenames, provider titles, and generic phrases such as “Week 3” or “review lecture.”
- Try one specific clinical or mechanistic phrase at a time, such as “conductive versus sensorineural hearing loss.”
- If the mapper reports an ambiguous or unmapped topic, do not force a route. Refine the medical phrase or request a broader reviewed concept.
ChatGPT reads the file; the MediPrep MCP does not receive the PowerPoint, PDF, slide text, filename, or speaker notes. Mapping is a host-proposed alignment, not verification of the source or a claim about exam emphasis.
A shared UWorld route is missing or does not open
Shared discovery returns only currently released numeric UWorld IDs with exact controlled-concept authority. A held, revoked, expired, ambiguous, or unsupported mapping fails closed. The route does not include a stem, answer, explanation, private URL, subscription check, or learner history.
- Copy the displayed numeric ID into the search or navigation flow provided by your own current UWorld subscription.
- Confirm that the ID is available in your product edition and region. Provider catalogs can differ.
- If the route is unavailable, report only the numeric ID, controlled concept key, and MediPrep release hash shown in the result. Do not send the question body or a screenshot.
A personal UWorld or Anki route says it needs the Companion
- Confirm the MediPrep Study Navigator Chrome extension and optional local bridge are installed and current on the same device.
- Open one signed-in MediPrep tab so the account-bound bridge can register, then keep Chrome running.
- Confirm the extension, MediPrep tab, and ChatGPT connection use the same MediPrep account and intended browser profile.
- For Anki, open Anki in the intended profile and confirm the reviewed source deck or add-on is installed. For UWorld, confirm your own account can access the requested product.
- Start a fresh resolution. Requests expire after two minutes; completed body-free availability expires within ten minutes.
A personal route returns only availability, a bounded count, and an opaque action. Exact UWorld targets and Anki card, note, deck, tag, and schedule locators stay on the device.
Practice, planning, or Calendar action failed
- Start a new practice or study job if the prior run expired. Memory-only jobs expire within 30 minutes.
- For an answer, submit the option and confidence only after the current question is visible; an expired run cannot be silently recreated.
- For planning, request a fresh preview and check the destination, date, timezone, and proposed change before applying it.
- For Google Calendar, reconnect the intended Google account if authorization expired, then preview again. Do not approve a write whose destination is unclear.
- Report the body-free error class and timestamp. Do not send calendar bodies, course material, answer explanations, or OAuth tokens.
Disconnect, clear local data, or delete an account
- ChatGPT: open Study Navigator app details and use the disconnect or remove control. Delete ChatGPT conversations separately in ChatGPT.
- Chrome Companion: sign out, remove connected sources, clear extension data, or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling removes that Chrome profile's local extension records.
- Anki: use the add-on's delete controls for local MediPrep records, or remove the add-on. Native Anki study history and provider data remain governed by Anki and the learner's sync settings.
- Google Calendar: disconnect Google in MediPrep to stop future access. Delete already-created events or calendars in Google if you also want those records removed.
- MediPrep account: email the public support address with “Account deletion request.” Include only the MediPrep account email needed to locate the account; support will verify ownership before deletion.
Disconnecting one surface does not automatically delete records held by another provider. The privacy policy lists the active retention boundaries and which provider controls each copy.
Safety and security reports
If you believe an account, source boundary, private locator, or action was exposed to the wrong user or device, disconnect the affected integration and contact the public support channel promptly. Put “Security” at the beginning of the subject. Describe the affected surface and time, but do not place credentials, private source content, proprietary question content, or patient information in the first report.
